As more and more patterns become available online, so the variety of yarns specified in the pattern increase. Many designers list substitute yarns, but there's no guarantee these alternatives are exactly the same. One look at the yarn band and the tension square will prove that not all yarns are equal! Added to this, many yarns are not available in certain countries leaving the maker with a dilemma - how much of my substitute yarn will I need?

It was a lovely day, with the sun glinting on the calm sea and the water lapping up against the unusually shaped stones that form the monument. Seeing it in real life was amazing. Not only that, but I was surprised to discover I could clamber all over it! Needless to say, it's another tick off my bucket list!
